Gawad Kalinga (GK) translated in English means to “to give care”, and it is an alternative solution to the blatant problem of poverty not just in the Philippines but in the world. GK’s vision for the Philippines is a slum-free, squatter-free nation through a simple strategy of providing land for the landless, homes for the homeless, food for the hungry and as a result providing dignity and peace for every Filipino.

Informatics Valenzuela regularly assists Gawad Kalinga, more specifically in the Manolo Village in Valenzuela. Informatics students participate in their housebuilding and regularly gives computer tutorials to GK Manolo residents.

Born officially in 1947, but with roots that traces back to the revolutionary days, the Philippine National Red Cross has truly become the premier humanitarian organization in the country, committed to provide quality life-saving services that protect the life and dignity especially of indigent Filipinos in vulnerable situations.

Informatics Valenzuela students regularly undergo trainings with the Philippines National Red Cross. These include, but are not limited to, Basic First Aid, Leadership, etc. Informatics Valenzuela also recruits volunteers to participate in the various charitable activities of the PNRC.

The Rotary Club of Valenzuela was chartered in 1974 and has had a long history of public service and humanitarian missions. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.

Informatics Valenzuela has partnered with the Rotary Club of Valenzuela in giving free IT education to impoverished but deserving individuals through the BRITE Communities project.

The Animation Council of the Philippines is a non-stock and non-profit organization whose member companies specialize mainly in, but not limited to, either 2D or 3D animation.

It is an organization recognized and supported by the Philippine government whose aim is to promote the Animation Industry globally with the intention of creating an identity for the Philippines to be considered amongst the preferred countries that service the animation industry.

Informatics Valenzuela is a member of the Animation Council of the Philippines and regularly attends the organization's events and functions.
