Informatics Valenzuela visits Roadrunner Network Inc.

Informatics Valenzuela students and staff members had an educational tour of Roadrunner Network Inc. in Makati last September 27, 2008. Roadrunner Network Inc. is one of the largest and most complete post production companies in the Philippines. One of their strengths lies in visual effects using high end computer software such as Autodesk Maya, 3D Studio Max, Combustion, Fusion, Zbrush, etc.

The tour showcased every facet of post production including digital film transfer, color correction, audio editing and mixing, digital compositing, and visual effects. Students were able to get a first hand glimpse of how each process is done, and also the final output which includes commercials, films, etc.

The tour concluded with a showing of "Power Unleashed", arguably Roadrunner's most ambitious project when it comes to 3D visual effects. The short film was created to showcase the talent and skills of the development team. Needless to say, Informatics Valenzuela students walked away from the experience gaining a lot of extra knowledge and even more inspiration to continue or to get into the graphics and animation industry.
